Suppressor of cytokine signalling (SOCS) genes are expressed in the endometrium and regulated by conceptus signals during early pregnancy in the ewe.

چکیده
It is established that the conceptus-endometrium dialogue involves cytokines, growth factors and hormones. Given the crucial functions of the suppressor of cytokine signaling (SOCS) family proteins in cytokine signalling, we analyzed the expression and the regulation of CIS and SOCSs 1-3 transcripts during early pregnancy in the ovine endometrium. An overall stimulation of the SOCS transcripts was described in the pregnant ewes with two specific patterns. Unilaterally pregnant ewes confirmed the conceptus-produced factors as regulators of the SOCSs 1-3 expression at day 16 of pregnancy. Intrauterine injection of recombinant ovine interferon tau (IFNtau) in cyclic ewes stimulated the expression of the SOCS mRNA with various potencies, therefore suggesting that the SOCS could take part in the negative regulation of the IFNtau signalling pathway.

Transcriptomic Analysis of the Porcine Endometrium during Embryo Implantation
In pigs, successful embryo implantation is an important guarantee for producing litter size, and early embryonic loss occurring on day 12-30 of gestation critically affects the potential litter size. The implantation process is regulated by the expression of numerous genes, so comprehensive analysis of the endometrium is necessary. In this study, RNA sequencing (RNA-Seq) technology is used to a...
متن کاملRegulation of S100G Expression in the Uterine Endometrium during Early Pregnancy in Pigs
Calcium ions play an important role in the establishment and maintenance of pregnancy, but molecular and cellular regulatory mechanisms of calcium ion action in the uterine endometrium are not fully understood in pigs. Previously, we have shown that calcium regulatory molecules, transient receptor potential vanilloid type 5 (TRPV6) and calbindin-D9k (S100G), are expressed in the uterine endomet...
متن کاملMethylation and mRNA expression levels of P15, death-associated protein kinase, and suppressor of cytokine signaling-1 genes in multiple myeloma
Objective(s): The aim of this study was to investigate the methylation status and mRNA expression levels of P15, death-associated protein kinase (DAPK), and suppressor of cytokine signaling-1 (SOCS1) genes in multiple myeloma (MM). Materials and Methods: The bone marrow samples of 54 MM patients were collected and the methylation status of the P15, DAPK, and SOCS1 gene promoter regions was dete...
متن کاملI-32: Implantation and Recurrent PregnancyLoss
Background: Recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL), defined as 3 or more consecutive pregnancy failures, is a common and distressing disorder. Chromosome instability in the conceptus is the most common cause whereas uterine factors are invariably invoked to explain nonchromosomal miscarriages. These uterine factors are, however, poorly defined. Materials amd Methods: Laboratory-based analysis of endome...
متن کاملDevelopmental regulation of prostacyclin synthase and prostacyclin receptors in the ovine uterus and conceptus during the peri-implantation period.
This study documents the expression of prostacyclin (PGI2) synthase (PTGIS) and PGI2 receptors in the trophoblast and uterus of the ewe at the time of maternal recognition of pregnancy (i.e. days 7, 9, 12, 14 and 17). The membrane receptor for PGI2 (PTGIR) and the nuclear receptors, i.e. peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors (PPAR) and their heterodimer partners the retinoid X receptors (...
